Scholarships & Grants for Librarians
There are literally hundreds of scholarships and grants available to librarians and those interested in going into library science, and it would be impossible to list them all here. Instead, we have attempted to compile a list of the major grants, scholarships, and awards available. Many of these professional and academic organizations may have other sources of funding available to you, and we recommend that you contact them directly in the interests of obtaining the most up-to-date and accurate information.
In addition to these organizations, many universities provide assistantships, grants, scholarships, and fellowships to potential and ongoing students, most of these based on academic achievement, financial need, ethnic or religious background, or other criteria. We strongly recommend contacting the institution of your choice to find out more about the specific types of financial aid available to you.
